Entrepreneurship training seeks to create the entrepreneurial spirit and culture in the students of the University of La Guajira, in order to strengthen business initiatives developed by the students, and mitigate the effects of unemployment and informality in the environment. In this way, the study was aimed at analyzing the formation of entrepreneurship as a commitment of the University of La Guajira, through the quantitative paradigm, descriptive research, non-experimental design, cross-field field. The population studied was 55 students with a business idea orientation. A questionnaire with 9 items, a Likert-type scale, was applied, validated by 7 professionals of the study topic, the reliability by Alpha Cronbach was 0.90. The analysis technique was descriptive statistics. The results show that the institution fosters social initiative, social innovation and shared value. It is concluded that, since the formation of the University of La Guajira, there is a commitment to entrepreneurship in its students, as it focuses on promoting entrepreneurship as a setting for work and personal life, through the academic programs offered.
