This paper is the result of the ongoing research project Sustainable Public Policies in Colombia that aim at the effectiveness of social, business and environmental government actions of the orange economy and circular economy in the Colombian State, through the analysis of both nascent economic models in public policy. For this, it is necessary to understand the management of the ideological, legal, administrative and tax structure of the orange and circular economy of the country; to investigate the successful experiences of the models, as well as, the public policies promote the implementation of both economies in accordance with the current health dynamics. Colombia is the milestone State in Latin America to implement a National Circular Economy Strategy supported by the national orange economy policy. In this sense, it is necessary to delve into the theoretical underpinnings of both macro proposals, that is, the orange economy or else called the creative economy and the circular economy, in order to contextualize the theorizing with its implementation, according to the social, environmental and economic dynamics and sanitary of the nation.
