Leprosy is an infectious disease formerly known as leprosy caused by a bacterium called Mycobacterium leprae or Hansen's bacillus being a public health problem in the middle of the 21st century, because our country has not yet managed to reach the goal of reducing the prevalence to less than 1 case / 10,000 inhabitants. This study is an integrative literature review study, which allows the inclusion of experimental and non-experimental studies of published research. For data collection, searches were carried out in the Lilacs and Scielo databases. As it is a disease of great importance for public health, this project aims to find out the incidence of leprosy in the municipality of Luziânia, in order to learn about the development of actions as well as health promotion and disease prevention
