espanolEl objetivo del articulo fue describir las Tecnologias de Informacion y Comunicacion y su relacion con la Sociedad del Conocimiento. Se utilizaron los aportes de Tobon, Guzman, Hernandez y Cardona (2015), Flores, Aguilar, Hernandez, Salazar, Pinillos, Perez (2017) Cruz, Pozo, Aushay y Arias (2019), Bernal y Rodriguez (2019), Urueta (2019), Mujica, (2019). El tipo de investigacion fue descriptiva con diseno documental. La tecnica utilizada fue el analisis de contenido, y se diseno una matriz de categorias como instrumento. Los resultados obtenidos permiten concluir que se requieren de las nuevas tecnologias para el avance de todos los aspectos del contexto social. EnglishThe objective of the article was to describe Information and Communication Technologies and their relationship with the Knowledge Society. The contributions of Tobon, Guzman, Hernandez and Cardona (2015), Flores, Aguilar, Hernandez, Salazar, Pinillos, Perez (2017) Cruz, Pozo, Aushay and Arias (2019), Bernal and Rodriguez (2019), Urueta (2019), Mujica, (2019) were used. The type of research was descriptive with a documentary design. The technique used was content analysis, and a category matrix was designed as an instrument. The results obtained allow us to conclude that new technologies are required for the advancement of all aspects of the social context
