The Plan Colombia, implemented from 2000 to 2015, became the main engine of the Colombian State to combat the multiple forms of violence that for years tried to take control of the country and the anti-narcotics plan proposed and implemented by the North American Government. Fifteen years after the beginning of its implementation, of so much human and material efforts invested, the FARC-EP ended the peace dialogues with the Colombian Government and the ELN is doing the same. Can it be considered that Plan Colombia fulfilled its peace objective? This article aims to solve this question through the analysis of the background of Plan Colombia, development and continuation (Paz Colombia) in the new Colombian national context. Keywords: Colombia Plan, United States, Colombia, Peace, Peace Process.
