In thist work, the computational time required by a Raspberry PI 3B+ card to solve the dynamic model of a distillation column were evaluated. To validate the proposed approach, the model was solved and compared with Aspen Plus. In addition, the dynamic model was solved considering variations in the number of stages in the system (from 29 to 33), thus, changing the variable and equation number. Using the interior point solver (IPOPT), it is verified that the time taken to solve the model is between 4,89 s and 10,5 s.
