This paper presents the results obtained from the implementation and evaluation of a prototype indoor positioning system based on Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology, with emphasis on the use of low-cost devices. The development of the system was carried out using the Fingerprinting positioning technique with the RSSI parameter, in a scenario located in the building of the Faculty of Electronic Engineering and Telecommunications of the University of Cauca. The performance evaluation of the prototype system was made based on the accuracy measurement obtained. The results show that an accuracy of 0.341 m to 0.7294 m is achieved in the selected test scenarios.
