The article is entitled Misconceptions in drug administration: pharmacist conduct. Its objective is to present errors in drug administration and their implication in patient safety, in the method format, in a literature review. The theme is justified due to the fact that currently occur situations of maladministration of drugs, and in many cases, the consequences are irreversible. We seek to present the implication in patient safety when the medication is mismanaged. The data collection took place in the Lilacs, Scielo and Bireme database. A total of 50 articles were selected for succinct and careful analysis. A total of 20 articles were discarded, as they did not have the research requirements, which are articles and theses dated from January 2014. In the collection remained, an amount of 30 articles, which were considered as theoretical basis for the development of the study. scientific article. It is concluded that the pharmacist should be and be as qualified as possible, as he is treating a patient who in many cases is already debilitated in his pathological condition, and in fact, a drug intoxication would aggravate the patient's condition.
