Currently on the market it is possible to find different biometric measurement devices with different technical specifications, costs, usability, among others. However, there is difficulty to select the most appropriate biometric device for investigations and/or interventions in therapies developed for children who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Then, a review on some biometric devices is presented, as well as some applications of this technology in different fields. Also, the information obtained from the systematic review on some of the main devices currently available on the market for the selected technologies (Eye tracking and Electroencephalography-EEG) is related, as well as the considerations on operation, licensing, costs, physical and technical specifications, among other relevant aspects for the selection of the device are presented. Its technical specifications are also detailed, allowing it to be considered according to these specifications and their cost in the market, which could be the most appropriate devices depending on the type of the use that can be applied within the research and/or intervention in the therapeutic sessions of children with ASD.
