On the scientific literature about project management offices, several research works had investigated this kind of structures mainly from a theoretical perspective, based on unique cases of study, and developed on geographical contexts far from the reality of the organizations from the Amazonian Region of Colombia. The lack of applied studies, about project management offices on this region of the country made relevant to determinate the minimum requirements of a projectized organization for the assembly of a project management office on this geographical context.
