Heart diseases have been on the rise worldwide, due to the fast pace of life that promotes inappropriate eating habits, stress, alcohol and smoking, among others, but also due to other risk factors that are not controllable as medical family history. All of these are long-term triggers for conditions like hypertension. This is one of the leading causes of strokes, heart attacks and heart abnormalities worldwide. In Colombia, cases of death due to hypertension have been increasing in recent years, making it necessary to implement mechanisms that allow early prevention of this condition. In this article, a technological tool is presented that captures, processes and visualizes the main risk factors, calculating the probability that a person has to suffer from hypertension. This calculation is done using a Bayes network.
