Information security, based on the pillars of integrity, confidentiality and availability of information, involves determining tools, methods, techniques and controls prone to continuity of operations and management of information assets.For its part, digital preservation defines and promotes the guidelines for preserving documentary heritage in electronic support in order to ensure that the attributes of integrity, non-repudiation and confidentiality of information, having digital objects over time, by defining strategies generated from the identification and management of risks by technological obsolescence , hacking, technological changes and other elements that threaten the continuity of electronic information.With these premises, it is clear the importance and need to articulate the construction and application of digital preservation based on information security, in order to safeguard digital content in secure repositories.
