This article present a bibliometric analysis of the applications of some of the electronic identification systems (e.g. QR codes, barcodes, and radio frequency identifiers) focused on the monitoring of business supply chains and their logistics processes. The study focused on the use of technological and documentary surveillance software tools, where the correlation between topics related to supply chains and the use of identification systems is observed for an industry that evolves at high speed (e.g. Industry 4.0 ), revealing the large industrial field they have, however, there is a decrease in studies of radio frequency technologies in supply chains despite their versatility in industrial applications.
