Andres Puerta is a Colombian researcher who has specialized in studying contemporary Latin American chronicle. His research has been the origin of various academic articles that have appeared in specialized magazines (see, for example, Cronica latinoamericana. ?Existe un Boom de la no ficcion?). In his work, Puerta is not an outside observer of the chronicle, on the contrary, he is in love with the genre, in which he also plunges to write texts as a more chronicler. This double militancy, of analyst and practitioner, may be uncommon in other genres, but it occurs frequently in the chronicle circuit.
