Democracy did not come suddenly. It was the result of a broad struggle in which various social movements converged such as the Neighborhood Associations and the environmental movement. This work deals with the activity carried out by both in Murcia between 1970 and 1980 and its evolution, from the beginning apparently away from politics to its conversion into fundamental actors of change.
