The city landscape in the Nordeste de Rio Grande do Sul (Brazil) region shows the construction process of ethnic entities that have been influenced by Italian immigrants and their descendants in the area. In order to understand the current spatial configurations of its cities and the relationship with the population, this paper researches the collective and imaginary memory of Casca (RS). To identify this relationship, we use mind maps. The results show that an individual’s collective memory and their identity with the place are associated with inherited cultural features of Italian immigration to that area.
