This chapter explores a way that the basic concepts and trends related to the use of Renewable Raw Materials (RRM) can be understood in a general way, since these sources can be obtained from plants, animals, microorganisms and as a result of the use of biological systems, there are in most cases the reduction of emissions of carbon dioxide, methane or greenhouse gases, and the increase of organic matter, water, among others. The production of functional foods, with organic character, free of toxic residues, with high nutritional value and which during their production do not cause alterations to natural resources, are a priority in the implementation of food and nutritional security systems. Different technologies for agrochemical production have emerged, which are focused on the implementation of strategies to minimize environmental impact and establish clean agriculture.
