Microgrids have been introduced as powerful concepts to tackle the transition toward a decentralized power supplying. For this reason, complex methodologies for their planning have been proposed, and the selection of effective algorithms for its solution has become a transcendental task. In this work, the Multiobjective Evolutionary Algorithm Based On Decomposition (MOEA/D) is tested in the PG&E 69-bus. Optimization planning and results show the performance and advantages of their implementation for solving this practical problem.
