Implementation of a participatory methodology based on STEAM for the transfer of ICT knowledge and creation of Agtech spaces for the co-design of solutions that contribute to the development of small and medium agricultural producers in Colombia, Panama and China
This research is a complement to other articles at a technical level that have been carried out in the field of agriculture [1], [12]. In this article we want to show the results of an own methodology designed for the transfer of ICT knowledge in agriculture. The project called implementation of a participatory methodology based on STEAM for the transfer of ICT knowledge and creation of Agtech spaces for the co-design of solutions that contribute to the development of small and medium agricultural producers in Colombia, Panama and China. The previous methodology aims to transfer ICT knowledge, reduce the technological gap between the farmer and the technology, increase the rural generational change and mitigate the effects of soil and climate change on crops in different areas of the world [12]. The research is divided into two main parts; The first is the development of a tool to transfer knowledge about precision agriculture technology based on STEAM, using sensor networks for a group of small vegetable farmers. The second was the analysis of the spatial variability of the crops, and the third one was to transfer the knowledge of how to use the technology and how to analyze the data obtained from the different variables that were taken in different seasons of the year in countries of studies Colombia, Panama and China. Finally, the producer will be able to understand the effects of climate change that is affecting their crops.
