The paper develops a political discussion about the tension that formation in entrepreneurship generates about the political formation in the public university. This discussion is the result of an investigation carried out at Universidad de Antioquia between 2017 and 2018, where the formation in entrepreneurship was questioned from the conceptual tools of Amy Gutmann, from her political theory of education, and from the analysis of neoliberalism by Christian Laval and Pierre Dardot. From both perspectives, the background of the political formation that would be instituting the formation in entrepreneurship was discussed. This study shows some values and concepts that contradict the social aspiration and the democratic sense of university political formation.
