The 2000 Millennium Summit started the process of defining global development goals. This intention was ratified in 2015 with the approval of the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals. In this context, it is necessary to broaden and qualify the literature about the strategies or mechanisms adopted within the countries in order to fulfill this Goals. In this way, it is worth asking: in what way do countries adjusted to these commitments? Based on the qualitative method, this paper examines the cases of Colombia and Chile, through the analysis of two specific processes: (i) the strengthening of international cooperation and (ii) the internal institutional reinforcement.
