The following working paper is result of the research project entitled "Estado del Arte de los trabajos de grado de los programas de Licenciatura y Especialización de ÚNICA" started in 2016 by the author.It presents a systematization of the research works carried out by students at the undergraduate level at the Colombo American University -ÚNICA, based on a documentary-type methodology in which the research works developed by undergraduates between 2009 and 2018, were collected, analyzed and interpreted, based on four variables: (1) number of degree works executed per year, (2) topics covered, (3) research approaches and (4) educational levels.The results show that a high proportion of these degree research works revolved around the themes of development and strengthening of communication skills and learning / teaching strategies in English and Spanish.Other topics that caught the attention of the students were the role of information and communication technologies (ICT) in bilingual education, educational inclusion in relation to learning difficulties / disabilities, public policy on bilingual education and the development of critical thinking.Regarding the research approaches of these undergraduate research works, these were case studies developed under the qualitative paradigm and, with respect to the educational levels of the population under study, a large part of the research works focused on elementary and high school.
