Actually, the concept of the place of memory, has been associated with territories that have been shaken by violence, conflict and abandonment. The reflections developed tend to recover oral testimonies, documents or any information that makes visible and dignify the victims. This vision that has become a trend, invisibilizes a myriad of elements that are important when it comes to understanding the memory of a place as part of a construction of its cultural heritage. From this perspective, this article reflects on the Places of Memory as the physical representation of the act of memory, a cultural territory made up of social actors who inscribe their memories in a space. It is then a sum of abstract constructs related to oral tradition, culture, in a spiritual, intellectual and affective sense, that characterize a society, its ways of life, music and traditional techniques, which form the intangible; and of tangible constructs, which are made up of physical spaces and collective objects, manufactured by the societies of our past, in order to leave their memories reflected in the physical events that guarantee the transmission of memory in posterity.
