Mining has become one of the most critical and controversial themes both in our country and in Latin America. It is not only due to the environmental effects on the ecosystems, but also due to the social impacts it causes, mainly in relation to the exploitation progress in inhabited areas, the unlawful development process, and the generation of risk zones. Regarding this phenomenon, the spatial justice becomes a critical category enabling to interpret the inequality processes that these exploitations brought about. This article aims to analyze the social perceptions on the mining based on the spatial justice. This research was conducted as a case study including tools like surveys, interviews, observation of subjects, and social cartography in order to gather information. A feeling of spatial injustice was particularly noted when people told their dissent about the concentration of mining exploitations in areas with social, political and financial deprivation
