A review of the available literature associated with virtual learning environments as a pedagogical mediation strategy was carried out, which have useful teaching tools that facilitate the understanding and development of the student's technological and cognitive skills. The research was of a qualitative type because it was analyzed and described the impact that virtual learning environments (VLE) have on the pedagogical mediation of teachers in their classes, so the documentary review was used as a means for the collection of scientific information. This allowed us to establish that the application of VLE in pedagogical mediation facilitates intercommunication between teachers and students in the realization of the teaching-learning processes, as well as positively affecting the motivation and performance of the students.
