The watershed includes the municipalities adjacent to the Magdalena River from the municipality of Girardot to Puerto Salgar, the main problem detected in the watershed is the shortage of water resources for human consumption, followed by the loss of natural coverage and the overuse of the soil, being very likely these last two problems, one of the major causes of the shortage of water resources. The main objective of the research is to carry out a systematic documentary and literature review related to the management of watershed, in order to design strategies for the conservation, improvement and use of water resources in the Rio Seco watershed.
