This paper addresses the translation practice of Juan Rodolfo Wilcock (1945 y 1959) in the Argentinian publishing industry. In the first place, I analyze the habitus of Wilcock as a translator in the editorial field. Then, I describe collections and catalogues of different local publishing houses which are related to his translations. Finally, I conclude considering some of the main aspects of his translation practice during this period.
