The intragastric balloon is a device placed inside the stomach in order to lead to weight loss, is an option in the treatment against obesity refractory to diet, physical activity, behavioral and pharmacological therapy.A possible complication is balloon migration that can lead to intestinal obstruction.This study aimed to demonstrate an aesthetic surgical technique used to remove a migrated balloon that generated an obstructive acute abdomen.This study was performed by analyzing the medical records and video of the surgery.The demonstrated technique proved to be effective and safe, constituting a therapeutic option for similar obstruction cases.
