With a philosophical research horizon, some questions about the concept of “other” are presented in relation to what has been called (in this work and following the Bourdieu field notion) the “hermeneutical field for Development” (HFD). Therefore, the first part shows how the general conception of the “other” tends to be reduced to a moral and dogmatic generalization about what is different. The second part presents certain interpretative clues to think, from some philosophers, the concept “other”. In the third section the conception of the field is shown and some configurating HFD elements are known. Finally, in the fourth section, a way to conclude, some interpretive routes are shown to think about the vulnerable subject beyond the traditional moralization of the “other”.
