In Villavicencio (Colombia) there are air quality monitoring centers managed by the Ministry of the Environment, but these are control stations for pollutant emissions and these are located in rice mills, cement plants and others. The research seeks to characterize air quality in the downtown of Villavicencio. It is currently carrying out sampling of PM10 and PM2.5, in two strategic locations; one on the old road to Bogotá and the other at the Cooperativa de Colombia University. The monitor used is "DustTrak DRX Aerosol Monitor 8533". The results correspond to the monitoring of the month of October 2018 and are compared with the current Colombian regulations and the atmospheric variables such as ambient temperature (TA), relative humidity (RH) and solar radiation (RS). A correlational analysis was carried out, and the graphs of the mathematical behavior of PM2.5 versus each of them were obtained.
