<p>This paper presents the development of a case study related to the application of active learning teaching strategies in a space of control systems of an engineering program. Despite identifying some difficulties in obtaining better results in their application, the analysis of responses about the students’ perception of these novel didactics shows that there is receptivity and that they constitute an interesting means so that students, in addition to strictly disciplinary content and knowledge, begin to think about learnings related to attitudes and skills</p>
