Electrical power systems are more complex and dynamic. The development of new technologies, equipment, power market transformation, regulations and community demands, are factors that increase uncertainties and risks related to the operation, control, safety and reliability of the power supply networks. There is a historical application of methods for failure analysis and reliability evaluation. However, there is a lack of applied methods focused on power systems reliability including human factors (HF), specifically for industrial and commercial power systems. This paper mainly focuses on a literature review to identify information regarding human reliability analysis (HRA), and human error probability (HEP) applied on reliability analysis of electrical power systems. Also, a sociotechnical system approach of the power systems is introduced.
