The book Software Development Process Based on the Articulation of RUP and CMMI has as its main purpose to present the unification between RUP as a process for software development and the CMMI model as a model that seeks to mediate its maturity, in order to establish an environment based on the quality of the product to be developed. This integration provides important elements to those who are dedicated to software production, since it establishes an integration between the practices proposed by CMMI and the phases defined by RUP and thus ensure quality in software production. The book is organized into five chapters, the first one presents a general contextualization of the different concepts that are addressed in the following chapters, the chapter two presents a description of the CMMI model, chapter three addresses the explanation of RUP, chapter four presents the integration approach between RUP and CMMI, and finally, chapter five explains how such integration can be implemented in a process of software production.
