Introduccion : el acoso escolar tiene consecuencias adversas en la vida de agresores y agredidos. Hay creciente interes en observar si esta presente en ambitos universitarios. Objetivo : identificar si existe acoso escolar en estudiantes del programa de psicologia de una universidad publica en la ciudad de Santa Marta, al norte de Colombia. Metodologia : investigacion no experimental, descriptiva transversal, considerando muestra de estudiantes de ambos sexos matriculados de segundo a noveno semestre. Resultados : participaron 195 estudiantes. El maltrato verbal fue el tipo de acoso escolar que mas se presento, sin diferencias por sexos. Igualmente, se pudo observar que en ambos generos, la dimension del maltrato fisico fue la menos presente, seguido del maltrato psicologico. Igual presencia de acoso escolar se observo en todos los semestres. Conclusiones : se observo presencia de acoso escolar entre estudiantes de psicologia de una universidad colombiana, la dimension mas presente fue maltrato verbal. There is increasing interest in observing if it is present in university environment. Objective: To identify if there is bullying in the students of the psychology program of a public university in the city of Santa Marta, in the north of Colombia. Methods: The type of design used for this research was non-experimental, descriptive and cross-sectional study, carried out in a sample of students of both genders enrolled in second to ninth semester. Results: 195 students participated, in which, the verbal maltreatment was present more than other types of bullying, without differences by gender. Equally, it was observed that in both genders, the dimension of the physical maltreatment was the less present, followed by the psychological maltreatment. Equal presence of bullying was observed in all the semesters. Conclusions: Presence of bullying between psychology students of a Colombian university was observed, being the most present dimension the verbal maltreatment. Rev.cienc.biomed. 2014;4(2):281-286.
