This work aims to study the phenomenon of directed rainfall, which consists of the simultaneous action of precipitation and wind, and its influence on the durability of façades.Thus, this research was based on the semi-empirical method, based on data obtained from the SIMEPAR (Paraná Meteorological System) for 4 meteorological stations in the state of Paraná, seeking to identify the most critical driving rain of these regions.Thus, was analyzed using the Anual, Directed and Combined driving rain index.These indexes were used to classify the degree of exposure of these different localities to the critical driving rain index for each city and the critical orientation of the precipitations associated with the wind, and, in this way, could guide the selection of design criteria for buildings in these regions.
