Abstract. The objective of this work is to determine the variability of the uniformity of the distribution of the applied irrigation sheet, on the surface of the soil, with a central pivoting equipment in the sugarcane, compared with the uniformity of the humidity that occurs in the soil profile. The ASABE standard S.436.1, as the test procedure and soil profile, moisture measurements were taken with a TDR equipment at three soil depths of 0-0.2m, 0.2-0.4m and 0.4-0.6 ma every 5 meters away. Three evaluations were made, in the central pivot of length of 430 (58 ha), with application sheets of 12 mm. The growing age of 2-3 months. Comparisons were made of the sheets on the soil surface with moisture before irrigation (AR), 24 hours after irrigation (24hDR) and 48 hours after irrigation (48hDR). The coefficient of uniformity of the Christians, for the sheet on the surface, the values ââof 75, 78 and 80%, for the humidity in the soil at different depths were determining for the application and the condition of the initial moisture of the soil. The uniformity, in the profile of the soil, was never higher than 5% of the presence on the surface and on occasions, the results of the sheet became lower. Result showed that under the conditions of the crop and the operation of the equipment the determination of the uniformity in the surface is a parameter that can be used to define the performance of an irrigation system.
