Decision making in insurance companies is carried out under permanent uncertainty, with limitations for designing adequate performance indicators. Therefore, this paper develops a methodology for implementing together Balanced Scorecard and fuzzy logic to treat the uncertainty of the performance measurement in the indemnity area of insurance companies. The application of the methodology allowed to obtain a crisp result of the effectiveness level in the indemnity area of an insurance company, considering the uncertainty in the performance of perspectives: Customers, Finance, Processes, and Learning and Growth.
