Perovskite solar cells (PSC) have emerged as a promising technology to replace conventional photovoltaic systems for powering sensors using supercapacitors. The design of power controlling systems for PSC modules becomes relevant for energy harvesting applications. This papers presents the design and simulation of a conventional MPPT control system (Perturb and Observe) based on a DC-DC boost converter for a PSC module. A simple model of the junction gate field-effect transistor (JFET) was used for the low power of the system and to improve the time of model simulation. A real PSC was fabricated and characterized to extract the electrical parameters for the simulation of the whole system.
