This article is an approach to representations of canids in Teotihuacán mural painting, research that documents the distinctive elements that these animals carry when it comes to representing them graphically, this analysis allowed us to make a proposal to identify the stylistic components recreated by the ancient Teotihuacán differentiate three species of canids: the coyote, wolf and the wolf. Work based on the analysis of mural painting, Mesoamerican stylistics and zooarchaeological evidence in the region.
