This article examines the understanding of central concepts of the Peace Research field in the Agreement that brought the Colombian internal armed conflict to an end. It analyses the discursive progress evidenced in the text, the coincidence between these meanings and those of the broader field, and obstacles for the practical realisation of the concepts based on the political, cultural and military realities of the country.
