The objective of this article is to respond to what subjective strategies we employed nd how we participated in the reproduction, administration or transformation of the differences in gender and in class. Thus, methodologically, the experiences of school youth in Cúcuta, Colombia, are a starting point, from which they were part of group interviews to go more in-depth into their processes of subjective constitution and alterity creation drawing from lectures regarding gender and class. It is concluded that the framing of the difference and the construction of alterity is an ambivalent process with space for self-correction and the redefinition from a variety of occasional strategies that showcase the fluidity and adaptability of subjective processes.
