This process of qualitative research on the reconfiguration lived by families in two cases of suicide of pregnant women was performed with hermeneutical phenomenological approach; building the information through family and in-depth semi-structured interviews. Information possible to identify forms of care from the private and public contributed to the reconfiguration of these families. Care emerges as a protective factor underlying the individual and the community as result of family historical construction and expression of the internal capacities of families and their support networks, in a context in which necessary social care policies are regarding unwanted pregnancy.
