This research started with the evidenced problematic in fourth grade from Colegio Manuel Cepeda Vargas I.E.D, related to teaching writing, which led students to be repeaters of contents that hid their own voice. This situation led to a reflection on the appropriate way of encourage in children the production of proper and meaningful texts, this centered the discussion on life stories as detonators of writing. In this sense, methodology was assumed from a qualitative perspective, within a biographical narrative approach. As result, children positioned themselves as authors and protagonist of their writings, for this reason they recognized the importance and usefulness of diverse elements contained in writing and reflected about their communicative sense.
