The authors consider the tradition as one of the basic characteristics of culture, thanks to which culture manifests itself as a historically established experience. Traditions perform the function of succession, which necessarily involves critical analysis and creative transformation of the values inherited from our ancestors. Appeal to the cultural tradition as a means of preserving and transmitting sociocultural experience enables the active exploration of the wealth of the people’s spiritual and material culture.
