Entropy is known as the second law of thermodynamics responsible for measuring chaos. However, we can also use it to measure the adaptability and effective organization of any organizational system. In engineering there has always been a dichotomy between quantitative and qualitative methodologies for problem solving. The proposal we developed in this paper is an heuristic that integrates both qualitative, structural analysis methodologies and quantitative, experimental software in addition to a Viability System analysis, an organizational pathology diagnosis, all this to offer decision makers of organizational complex systems tools to make better decisions based on limited information and limited resources.
