Introduction: In the nursery profession the care is considerea the base of the discipline that mark the person, his family and the nurse as transmisor of him; the interaction and the efective communication with the patients and collective, they are esencials elements for the quality of attention of nursery. Objective: To determine the degree of satisfaction of hospitalized patients in relation to the quality of care provided by nursing professionals. Materials and methods: A quantitative study of a descriptive - transversal nature, we worked with a sample of 280 patients distributed in 3 services: internal medicine, surgery and hospitalization; selected through an intentional sampling, taking into account the inclusion criteria, the instrument Caring Assessment Instrument CARE Q was used in its 46-item version. The data were organized in Excel and processed in SPSS 19.0 and the application was taken into account. of informed consent and the criteria of resolution 008430 of 1993. Results: Male gender prevailed (59.8%), socioeconomic status two, average age 29 years in internal medicine and surgery, users reported a level of satisfaction high in the surgical services (38%) and hospitalization (52%), in internal medicine the satisfaction was average (57%).The user expresses that the care behavior that the nurse has is essential in the support relationship and help administered in a timely manner. Conclusions: the quality of care leads to internalizing the actions of physical, emotional or spiritual care that are perceived as positive for the human being and promote the sense of protection and safety of the other.
