In the Information System of the Ministry of National Education (SNIES) there are 194 programs of Systems Engineering and other related careers renewed, 35 of them are accredited with high quality; these programs have a structure in accordance to the INCOSE guidelines. In recent times, the career has presented problems for its demand, especially in private universities and those located in the province. This research is based on the analysis of the problem causes, which implies lack of identity and positioning of its graduates. From this study, the ontological representation strategy of Systems Engineering is projected, where the most representative characteristics of the program are incorporated. The investigation problem shall be analyze with a qualitative approach, and a support method for the development of the ontology backed by methontology.
