This paper present a methodology for the steady state analysis of Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) considering the operation areas of wind turbine. First, using the spatial vector method, the steady state dq model of DFIG, is deduced. Then the operation zones are defined, based on electrical and mechanical restrictions. From the wind speed, the turbine torque and the speed is calculated, then with these two variables and the assigned power factor the other variables of DFIG are defined using the steady state dq model. Finally, the simulation and results analysis of operation are carried out for different power factors.
