Views from Germany Thomas Cauvin Thomas Cauvin Thomas Cauvin is assistant professor at Colorado State University where he teaches public history and museum studies. He is also the president of the International Federation for Public History. He is the author of Public History: A Textbook of Practice (Routledge, 2016) and other publications in English, French, and Italian on the history and development of public history. Among other fields, Cauvin has worked on local and family history projects, digital resource collections, oral history and recently produced a documentary film (Theo’s Choice) on the preservation of French heritage in Louisiana.
