The objective of this article is to analyze the technical criteria of the methodology for the calculation of fines for violation of environmental regulations, by Resolution 2086 of 2010 to identify and propose improvement actions, considering the capacities identified in the same. It is also the subject of development of the background of the normative legislation and the proposals for the different types of infractions that an Environmental Authority faces every day.
